The camp cook students prepared meals that would make any outfitter sit up and take notice. All of the pack trips into the hills went great; lots of hard work and great fun at the same time.

Our September class here in Montana will be starting very soon and as always we will visit with them "in nature's classroom."

2008 class pictures will be posted soon!Julie Knotthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04240429153504709315noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4903849565696690052.post-22024375864255464062008-07-24T15:25:00.000-07:002008-07-25T07:33:05.182-07:00Camp Cook SchoolVerna is a cook school student over at Middle Fork Guide Packer School.
Here you see Karla her instructor giving her some very important tips in preparing a hearty dinner.Julie Knotthttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04240429153504709315noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4903849565696690052.post-21246813516338400952008-07-02T05:50:00.000-07:002008-07-26T18:02:47.778-07:00That All Important RelationshipCameron, one of our guide school students in the May class is working on his skills with this big fella. Julie and I had a great time visiting with each of the students. Most went right to work for some of the best Outfits in the Rockies. A few had some college to finish up and will be back up next year ready for work. While we visited with each student individually [which we always do] they each said- guide school was great and it does take a lot of work in this business. They all learned so much and are so excited about getting started in their new careers.
The days are getting shorter, bow season has started and the elk are bugling it's a great time to be in the hills.
